ANOTHER MAJOR MILESTONE REACHED

ANOTHER MAJOR MILESTONE! On October 14, after years of planning, study and significant public outreach, the JPA Board of Directors approved the proposed general alignment for the 35-mile Capital SouthEast Connector. This follows board action in August certifying the programmatic environmental impact report (PEIR), another milestone that was years in the making. A significant next step involves each member agency’s legislative body approving the portion of the general alignment that runs through its jurisdiction. Those meetings are slated to start in October.

Is there a way that the public can offer input on the proposed routing in advance of each member’s legislative body approving the portion of the general alignment that runs through its jurisdiction, or is the public’s role in this now over?
